Your journey to Montaña de 7 Colores begins early in the morning with pickup from your hotel in Cusco between 4:30 a.m. and 5:00 a.m.
From there, you’ll travel through scenic Andean landscapes toward the district of Cusipata, where you’ll enjoy a breakfast stop before continuing the journey.
After breakfast, the route continues to Chilliwani, the starting point of the hike. The ascent to Rainbow Mountain takes approximately 1.5 hours at a steady and manageable pace, allowing you to gradually adapt to the altitude while enjoying views of the Vilcanota mountain range, local wildlife, and traditional surroundings.
Upon reaching the summit, at over 5,000 meters (16,400 ft), you’ll have time to rest, take photos, and fully appreciate the vibrant natural colors that make this destination one of Peru’s most iconic landscapes.
