DAY 01: Arrival in Cusco + City Tour

Tour schedule: 12:40 PM – 6:30 PM

Upon your arrival at Alejandro Velasco Astete Airport in Cusco, our TOP INKA TRAVEL team will be waiting for you with a sign to help you easily locate them. We will then transfer you to your hotel.

We will pick you up from your hotel around 12:40 PM for the City Tour. During the City Tour, we will visit five tourist attractions: Sacsayhuamán, Puka Pukara, Q’enqo, Tambomachay, and Qoricancha. The tour will conclude around 6:30 PM.

DAY 02: Sacred Valley VIP + Connection to Machu Picchu Town

Tour schedule: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM

We will begin with a pick-up from your hotel to visit Chinchero, where we will explore its Inca constructions, agricultural terraces, and colonial church, as well as briefly participate in the textile-making process at a local textile center. Afterward, we will head to Moray, famous for its circular agricultural terraces, and continue to the Salineras de Maras, an impressive complex of over 3,000 salt ponds where we will observe the natural extraction process.

In the afternoon, we will enjoy a buffet lunch in Urubamba before continuing to Ollantaytambo, the last living Inca city, known for its massive terraces and the monolith at its summit. After finishing the visit, we will head to the Ollantaytambo train station and board the train to Machu Picchu Town, where our team will be waiting to take you to your hotel.

DAY 03: Machu Picchu

In the morning, we will meet with our guide to board the Consettur bus, which will take us to the Machu Picchu Sanctuary. We will enjoy a 2.5-hour guided tour, during which we will explore its impressive constructions as the guide reveals its fascinating history, architecture, and the mysteries surrounding this majestic Inca city.

After the tour, we will descend by bus to the town of Machu Picchu, where you will have free time to explore or have lunch. Later, we will head to the train station to board the train back to Ollantaytambo, where our driver will be waiting to take us back to the city of Cusco.

DAY 04: Southern Valley of Cusco

Tour schedule: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

We will begin with the pickup from your hotel, and then visit the archaeological complex of Tipon, which consists of a set of agricultural terraces. Next, we will visit Pikillaqta, known as the ancient pre-Inca city of the Wari culture. Here, we can appreciate constructions up to 4 stories high, temples, storehouses, and enjoy views of the Huacarpay lagoon.

Lastly, we will visit the Sistine Chapel of America, built in the 17th century, known for housing one of the most beautiful examples of Colonial Art. Finally, we will return to the city of Cusco, arriving around 5:00 PM.

DAY 05: Rainbow Mountain

Tour schedule: 4:30 AM – 5:00 PM

We will begin with the pickup from your hotel and head to the village of Cusipata, where we will enjoy a delicious breakfast.

Next, we will continue our journey for another hour to the control point, where we will begin the hike to Rainbow Mountain.

The hike will take approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes to reach the Vinicunca viewpoint (5,200 meters above sea level). From this point, we will be able to admire the stunning panoramic view of the mountain, while our guide provides a detailed explanation of the orography, ecosystem, and cultural significance of this iconic destination. You will also have free time to take photos and enjoy the scenery.

Afterward, we will begin our descent to our transportation, which will take us back to Cusipata for lunch. Finally, we will return to Cusco and arrive around 5:00 PM.

DAY 06: Humantay Lake

Tour schedule: 4:30 AM – 6:30 PM

We will begin with the pickup from your hotel and head to the village of Mollepata, a journey of approximately 2 hours, where we will enjoy a delicious breakfast.

Then, we will continue our journey by transport for another hour to Soraypampa, the starting point of our hike to Humantay Lake (4,200 meters above sea level). During the ascent, we will enjoy the breathtaking Andean landscapes.

Upon reaching the lake, our guide will provide an explanation about its geological and cultural importance. You will have time to admire the beautiful surroundings, take photos, and connect with nature.

Afterward, we will begin our return along the same path to Soraypampa, where our transport will be waiting to take us back to Mollepata for a comforting lunch.

Finally, we will return to the city of Cusco, arriving at approximately 6:30 PM.

DAY 07: Hotel Transfer – Airport

On this day, after enjoying breakfast at the hotel at the designated time, the transfer will pick us up from the hotel to drive us to the airport for our flight. The hotel check-out time is at 10 AM, but you can leave your luggage at the hotel until your departure time for your convenience.
