Lima basically has two seasons:
December – April → Summer (high season) Clear blue skies, 77–86 °F (25–30 °C), perfect beach weather. Paragliders fill the sky over Miraflores, surfers hit the Costa Verde, and rooftop bars never close. Everything is open and vibrant, but prices are 30–50 % higher and places book up fast.
May – November → Winter (low season, never cold) The famous garúa (coastal fog) arrives and keeps the sky grey. Temperatures stay comfortable at 61–70 °F (16–21 °C). The huge advantage: hotels drop sharply, museums are quiet, and you can walk the entire 6-mile Malecón almost alone on weekdays. June–August are the calmest months.
