From El Chaco Pier<\/strong>, we\u2019ll board modern boats to tour the Ballestas Islands<\/strong>, where you\u2019ll see a rich variety of marine life including sea lions, Humboldt penguins, cormorants, flamingos, and more. DAY 07: Rainbow Mountain<\/h4><\/div>

DAY 08: Route of the Sun (Cusco \u2013 Puno)<\/h4><\/div>

We will begin with pick-up from your hotel and transfer you to the bus to start our journey. Our first stop will be the Sistine Chapel of Andahuaylillas, a colonial architectural gem with impressive murals and gilded altarpieces. We will then continue to Raqchi, where we will explore the imposing Temple of Wiracocha, one of the largest and most important constructions of the Inca Empire. Around 11:40 a.m., we will take a break to enjoy a traditional lunch with options of meat, chicken, or fish, accompanied by side dishes, salads, infusions, and desserts. We will continue our tour to Abra La Raya, the highest point of the route, where we can admire the majestic Andean mountains. Later, we will visit the Pucar\u00e1 Museum, where we will learn about the fascinating history of this ancient Andean civilization and its cultural legacy. We will begin with pick-up from your hotel and head to the port, where we will board a boat heading to the Uros Floating Islands in Puno. In this fascinating place, you will have the opportunity to capture incredible photographs and discover up close how the inhabitants build and preserve these unique islands.
Afterwards, we will continue to Taquile Island, where you can appreciate how the locals have preserved their identity and traditions over time. We will then enjoy a delicious traditional lunch and finally watch a performance of typical regional dances.
